Invitation to Join SEBAC

We invite you to consider membership in SEBAC. Membership is open to small businesses principally engaged in the environmental industry with 500 or fewer employees or relevant dollar size standard.

Mutual benefits are yours to enjoy, and your inclusion in our base of constituent companies will expand the diversity and abundance of our firms, our regional presence, and our access to information from multiple agencies that procure environmental contracts. SEBAC has helped government agencies shape their procurements to the benefit of small businesses including SEBAC members.

Costs of membership are a logical concern for small businesses and we all confront the realities of tight budget constraints. However, dues for SEBAC membership are comparable to, or less than, typical exhibit booth fees at trade shows/conferences. Beyond the technical benefits that a conference or trade show produces, membership and participation in SEBAC earns dividends year-round and affords our members considerable advantage scheduling meetings and appointments for their own marketing.

Our strength is in our numbers, and SEBAC members are prospering. These firms have carefully considered the costs, and have determined that the benefits of membership support their decision to continue participating in SEBAC. Members are gaining valuable intelligence in the industry, and advancing the purpose and mission of our coalition. Please consider these benefits against comparatively small membership fees and we are confident you will recognize and apply the multiple benefits and outreach within government and industry.

SEBAC Member Benefits

SEBAC Membership Opportunities

SEBAC is pleased to offer new membership options.  Your company may join either as a full voting member at the revenue-based rate listed on the membership application, or you may take advantage of an introductory membership that gives you an opportunity to become actively involved in our organization, yet pay no membership dues for the first year.  The Introductory Membership is intended for emerging small businesses with revenues of $2.5 million or less and no more than three years in a small business program.

Full Membership

In addition to the many benefits enumerated in our brochure, as a full-voting member, your company will have access to the password-protected Members Only page at www.sebac.org and a listing on the Member Companies page that links to your company’s home page.  You would also receive the SEBAC newsletter, have your office locations pinpointed on the SEBAC Members map, and would be invited to participate in our Top Issues surveys.  In addition, you would be eligible for a “Member Profile” feature in our newsletter.  More importantly, you would have a vote in deciding which issues SEBAC addresses and who serves on the Board of Directors, as well as being eligible to serve on the Board yourself. Full membership dues are revenue-based and are prorated according to the number of months remaining in SEBAC’s membership year at the time that you join. Our membership year runs from September 1 to August 31.

One-Year Introductory Membership

The one-year introductory membership for emerging small businesses offers many of the benefits of full membership, such as access to the Members Only page, listing as a SEBAC Member Company, your office locations pinpointed on the SEBAC Members map, and participation in the Top Issues surveys. But, voting privileges and the Member Profile feature in the newsletter are reserved for full members only.

In return for this one-year complimentary membership, we ask that your company commit itself to active participation in SEBAC by volunteering to work on one of our committees – DOD, DOE or Outreach.  Active members gain important insights into the environmental industry and help make SEBAC a stronger, more relevant organization, as well as allow a closer relationship to SEBAC member companies.

Regardless of the SEBAC membership option you choose, your company will be represented by SEBAC at government agencies and on Capitol Hill as we work to increase small business opportunities for all of our members.

Our strength is in our membership. We welcome your involvement.
